THE PRESIDENT’S COUNCIL ON PHYSICAL FITNESS AND SPORTS

The President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports is an advisory committee of volunteer citizens who advise the President through the Secretary of Health and Human Services about physical activity, fitness, and sports in America. Through its programs and partnerships with the public, private and non-profit sectors, the Council serves as a catalyst to promote health, physical activity, fitness, and enjoyment for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities through participation in physical activity and sports. THE PRESIDENT’S CHALLENGE

The President's Challenge is a series of programs designed to help improve anyone's activity level. It's the latest initiative introduced by the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports to help promote the benefits of fitness for all Americans. The Challenge offers different programs for people of all different ages and abilities. Each program helps identify realistic goals to encourage fitness for a lifetime. Mission
The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) is to help boys and girls of all backgrounds, with emphasis on youth at-risk, build confidence, develop character and acquire the needed skills to grow into productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.

Programs and Services
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington’s comprehensive youth development programs and services are designed to meet the needs of young people including the social, educational, vocational and character development of boys and girls. Programs are targeted at causes and conditions that put large numbers of children at risk of poor outcomes and give them the tools needed to face the every day challenges of growing up. We are a facility-based agency providing youth daily access to a broad range of core programs, administered by professional staff, in the following areas:

  • Cultural Enrichment
  • Health and Physical Education
  • Social Recreation

Fitwize 4 Kids is a rapidly growing Northern California based company, with locations throughout the U.S. and Australia.
