BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF GREATER WASHINGTON
Mission
The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) is to help
boys and girls of all backgrounds, with emphasis on youth at-risk, build
confidence, develop character and acquire the needed skills to grow into
productive, civic-minded, responsible adults.
Programs and Services
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington’s comprehensive youth development
programs and services are designed to meet the needs of young people including
the social, educational, vocational and character development of boys and
girls. Programs are targeted at causes and conditions that put large numbers of
children at risk of poor outcomes and give them the tools needed to face the
every day challenges of growing up. We are a facility-based agency providing
youth daily access to a broad range of core programs, administered by
professional staff, in the following areas:
-
Personal and Education Development
-
Citizenship and Leadership Development
-
Cultural Enrichment
-
Health and Physical Education
-
Social Recreation
